  Bought the car without test-driving it and trusted the seller that the MOT advisories had been sorted. Seller lied that the brakes had been fixed. Car breaks unevenly, alignment is off, differencial noisy, water pump/timing belt pulley noisy (previously replaced incorrectly or with cheap parts), chip in windscreen, received V5 and the seller also lied about number of previous keepers - it's 4 not 2. All confirmed by my car carage. Seller will be taken to the Small Claims Court.

  Buyer was unreasonable. The car was 24 years old and in regular use. We delivered it at his request. He examined it on his house drive, testing the engine, brakes and steering. 'MOT advisories' means 'points to keep an eye on' - they are not critical. He did not take me to the Small Claims Court because he had no chance of succeeding.
