Bought as I missed a shot whilst out walking
0 of 1 found this helpful Was out walking and was fed up walking with my Sigma 150-500 beast so, stowed that away and missed a great shot of a squirrel outstretched along a branch leading down into a river having a drink! Only had a wide angle on the camera. Got this so it's easier to walk around with. Haven't fully tested it yet but early indication look a little softer than I'd like but that could be my D300s being exposed for it's shortcomings.
We'll see though I might start looking for a full frame Nikon soon

Excellent product -fast, versatile and good multi media device.
Excellent laptop and this is my 2nd one. I bought this as a Laptop for my son to use for his A levels but also as it is a great recreational machine with HDMI out, good graphics card and a really smart processor. I have the same model and would only change for (and really it's only a matter of time) to the new XPS 15 - which after reading the reviews is an awesome piece of kit. This blasts away most of the recent competition even though it's about 2 years old.
Overall I am very pleased with the 1530 XPS and it still turns heads with ots looks too.

Excellent sound-specally for games-brill 4r audio too-best with a soundcard
Saw these when trawling through the websites looking for recommendations of good speakers and found a few video's on the u-toob saying how good they were. Had a bonus at work and ordered in. Well made, good sound and excellent build quality. They are very well made sonically and they sound particularly good on gaming (Crysis2 is phenomenal and almost what they were made for) but can be tailored to music play back.
The reviews I had read were all right in that the leads are not too long and so the speakers are for a single person sat at a PC. The Subwoofer is large but it houses a shielded amp and so are sizeable for the right reasons.
If you use it late at night there's a setting that takes out the subwoofer and subdues the extremes of the ranges and also a 'karaoke' setting which does take out all the vocals, Ok if you want that sort of thing.I did buy an Asus soundcard and it does sound better with it.
All in all well worth the money even though it's just shy of £200 (where I got it). If you're into gaming or good quality sound they're good-very good in fact. A well and true 5 stars.
