Hopkins plays a business man coming up to his 65th birthday, he begins to hear a voice, at first he questions his sanity, he has 2 daughters the youngest is the favourite all she has is her career, looking for someone she meets a young man in a café they talk over coffee and then they go their separate ways each looking back regretting not saying more the man is involved in an accident, the voice in Hopkins head takes form a mysterious stranger who wants to learn what it means to be human, he takes the form of the man from the café the youngest daughter already attracted by the man, starts a relationship, Hopkins who is a typical protective father trying to protect his daughter while battling to save his company which is in danger of getting taken away from him by people within his own company, great performances with an interesting story make this an entertaining film

this film was the first that for me bruce willis showed he was to become hot box office property his sharp one liners stole the scenes and this was the bench mark that i would rate all future films against, the film is poignant in how it portrays sports stars as some times winning at all costs, the characters are all fleshed out not two dimensional and the action scenes are lavish in their execution, this truly is an action movie that perhaps todays movies are lacking. if you havent seen this give it a watch you will be glued to your seat, thrills and spills this has it all the only downside is the cameo for halle berry i would have liked to have seen more of her because she oozed sexuality in all her scenes the conclusion is dramatic and it keeps going to the very end
