Nice scanner and good for slides/negatives. XP only
I bought this to replace one I had bought new donkey's years ago. It works fine for flatbed and transparency scanning. No drivers for Windows after XP, so I'm using an installation of XP on a Oracle Virtualbox on top of my Windows 8.1. This works fine and also allows me to use my old printer and some pieces of software that don't run under Win8.1
The 1600dpi resolution is good enough for most 35mm negative scanning, giving about 2000x1500 (3Mpx) pixels per picture.

Ruibbish. I threw them away
1 of 1 found this helpful The materials are poor and the manufacturing is poorer. I tried using a die to clean up a slightly mangled thread, but it completely ruined it (and it wasn't that I fitted it on badly, the start of the thread was OK until I used this.) I tried a couple more times, but they really are rubbish, so I just sent it to the metal recycling and bought a better set.
