Solves the 3-wire problem for ceiling fans with lights
When you have only 3 wires, but really need 4, so you can separately control your ceiling fan and its light, this thing is the answer! It works great. The only tricky part is to pay careful attention to the colors of the wires as you're installing it, or else it'll seem like it doesn't work, but it's actually miswired (yes, I did this).
