Another Awesome Book From Dorothy Dent
Great book for painters of all skill levels, whether they paint in oils or acrylics as there are projects for both mediums in this book. This book is thicker with more pages than most of Dorothy Dent's previous books. The patterns for each project are so easy to use and simple-they can easily be drawn free hand. The colors Dorothy uses for her painting projects are so much more colorful and luminous than her earlier books.-Very Modern.Dorothy Dent stays on top of the painting trends and shows she is still at the top of her game with this newest release.

Welcome to My Studio by Helen Van Wyk
3 of 3 found this helpful Helen Van Wyk wrote several oil painting instruction books in her lifetime, which was cut short in 1994,due to cancer. Helen was a very accomplished painter, had her own painting instruction show on PBS called Welcome To My Studio and was a wonderful instructor. I bought the book "Welcome To My Studio", because I am a self-taught artist, and prefer to learn on my own, in the privacy of my studio, with no one else but Helen and my palette and canvas. When you own a Helen Van Wyk art instruction book, you feel like you are having a private class with a master artist. Her books are a virtual encyclopedia of artist techniques, everything from flowers, portraits, still lives, landscapes, color mixing, and composition. The quality of instruction offered in Helen Van Wyk's books is world class. Nearly every page of each book is full of high quality, large full-color photographs and detailed pictures, making it easy for the reader to follow along with the instructions offered.
In this book,"Welcome To My Studio", Helen covers a variety of subjects such as, how she chooses the colors for her own palette, proper lighting on the subject, the importance of brushwork, and making your painting fit the canvas. She explains how to take an ordinary painting and make it extraordinary. She shows step-by-step instructions for tackling some of the most difficult subjects challenging an artist such as, how to paint white things, how to paint baskets, and how to tackle metal objects like copper and silver. Helen explains how to add intrigue and drama to your paintings using reflections, cast shadows and the proper use of highlights on a subject. It does not matter what brand of oil paint you use, or if you paint in acrylics, Helen's techniques can be applicable to both. If you are ready to take your painting to the next level, this book is a must and will be dogeared from constant use.

Great product at an incredible price.
I’m a frequent user of dry shampoo. I’ve used the expensive brands as well as the cheap stuff. The Batiste brand of dry shampoo hits the mark perfectly. It’s not too expensive and delivers a good quality product. I am in love with light scent of the Green Tea and Chamomile.
