Easy to fit genuine part
The old one was falling off, held on with cable ties. Unbolting involved breaking the bolts, who cares because the kit includes new fixings. Wiring clipped together, no need to cut wires or use crimping tools. The lamp has a steel protection back-plate whereas after market ones don't.

But why do they make it a different thread to other products? Smack of Apple and their proprietary cable fittings.
