Rex's Speed shop Sr 500 regulator/rectifier
Excellent product. Plugged right into my 1978 Sr 500 wiring. No hassle. Highly recommend this product if you need a new regulator as well as Rex's speed shop in general for specific vintage motorcycle needs.
(For sr 500 specifics)
If your lights aren't working check your regulator and stator. If both the regulator and stator "appear" fine by a multi meter ohms resistance testing procedure outlined in the Haynes manual, then replace regulator.
This was my problem.. both my stator and regulator appeared to be fine so I went out on a limb and followed the book's advice ; buy a new regulator. And so I did from Rex's speedshop.
Et voila . Now my sr 500 has lights.

Quality kit at a good price
Thanks for putting this quality kit together for such a great price. The only thing that could make this possibly better is a small crush washer. But those are dirt cheap any ways =) grateful for your work. Fast shipment too.
