Misleading title
My wife is an Ian Rankin /Rebus fan so I bought this for her, although I read it too. I've read a couple of Rebus books but they weren't my cup of tea so I won't be reading any more.
This book told me more about Ian Rankin than it did about Rebus's Scotland and while interesting in a way it was not what I expected or wanted.
The photos are monochrome and are in most cases arty-farty, blurry, deliberately out of focus shots which could have been taken anywhere in the country.
To summerise: If you want to know more about the author Ian Rankin, then you would probably enjoy this book. If you want to know more about the John Rebus character, then keep your money in your pocket.

Paid for itself.
I've clicked 'yes' for good quality as the choice was either yes or no. You can't expect Snap-On quality at this price, but it does not feel cheap and nasty.
I have used it once and it has paid for itself with just that one use - solved a problem that I had been trying to trace for months.

Good strong reel
I bought this reel to accompany one I already had. I got my existing one a while ago, second hand reasonably cheaply, but when I came to look for another S/H one, the sellers were asking close to the price I paid for this one new. They seem to hold their value well.
There are are better reels for casting, but these things are as tough as old boots, they have a very fast retrieve and if you need to haul a fish 15 feet or so up out of the water - fishing off rocks, piers sea walls etc. then they are strong enough to do it without complaint.
