Brilliant value & sound
The Vanson alnico Pro series stratocaster pickups are the best budget Pup's on the Internet. Absolutely massive value. Yes you can pay 8 times the price, but I guarantee you won't get 8 or even 10 times the sound. Very well made, fibre board base plate and no plastic bobbins. I've ordered multiple sets of both the classic and the vintage for my customers and they were always wired with wax clothed, braided wiring of excellent quality. The sound is excellent too. I have set them against Fender Standard installs and other replacements on the market of much, much higher pricing. They easily compare, no problem. Closest description of sound with the vintage staggered would be a set of 'Texas specials' Stevie Ray or Knopfler tone in buckets.

I'm im'pressed'
Well made and robust leather stamp. Should last decades in your leather work kit. The 'impression' it leaves is crisp and very well defined. Great product.

Quality, overpriced!
First I have to say this is way over priced, hence 4 star rating. But it does do what it says on the tin, so to speak. Standard blues cube is pretty much 6L6's so we're in Fender bass man territory. With the capsule you get the class A EL84 quality spot on. Great with whatever I put through it. Especially impressive is my Les Paul sound now. It is everything I ever wanted. My Stratocaster sound now has its choice of both worlds. Right at this moment I have the NY tone capsule in full time and have locked it down with the included plastic dome. I don't think I'll be removing it any time soon. Is it worth the money? No! It should be a lot cheaper, plus I was hit with import fees which really stung. The NY capsule is, I believe, the best of the available ones to date. If you can afford it, get it. You won't be disappointed, but the price is off putting for many I imagine.
