Ninja Scroll- Cult hit
Story: More complicated than it needs to be, but you can roll with it. Reluctant hero must defeat a dangerous group of skilled warriors, with the help of a wise old man and beautiful woman.
Good: Action sequences are awesome, worth the purchase altogether. Ending is by no means completely satisfying, but it's certainly better than some of the more alienating endings the Japanese seem notorious for. This is quite Western-friendly, a good start for those new to anime, and sure to impress veterans. English dubbing isn't bad. Animation and artwork is good, made in the 90's.
Bad: Extras are hardly worth the inclusion (Not the 10th Anniversary edition). Story gets complicated due to the countless Japanese names needed to be remembered, not exactly a bad thing however. The sex scenes in the film seemed unnecessary. Film as a whole seemed short.
Worth checking out.
