Hides scratches and dents on old guitars with nitro-cellulose lacquer.
Old guitars with a nitro-cellulose lacquer finish tend to have light-coloured marks where the finish has been knocked or scratched. The lacquer has tiny fissures which refract light. Painting a small amount of cellulose thinners on the damaged area temporarily melts the lacquer and removes the micro-fissures. After leaving to dry, then buffing up, the damage will be much less apparent. The Rustins thinners is ideal for this job and works very well.

A quick read but essential for hi-fi modding newbies.
This is a brief introduction to making power supplies which is especially useful for newbies to the DIY audio scene.
It shows how to build fixed supplies using 78xx series voltage regulators and balanced supplies, as required by op-amps, using 78xx and 79xx series regulators. Other types of supply are also covered including variable voltage.
For anyone having a go at modding hi-fi, especially CD players, this is a very good book. Many otherwise decent CD players are let down by the power supply which often feeds several components and is therefore contaminated with noise. Giving each component, especially the DAC chip, its own independent, clean supply can improve matters immensely. All you need is a few diodes and capacitors, a voltage regulator and a piece of strip-board.

Powerful 92mm fan
One of these fans was purchased to replace the original fan on a CPU cooler. The CPU, an 8-core FX-8350 was getting too hot, around 70C and occasionally 80C under load. On its own the Arctic F9 fan performed slightly better than the original fan, but using with the original attached on top, so they are in parallel, plus better ventilation, made a huge difference. The CPU rarely gets much above 60C now, even under 100% load.
This product is good value and effective.
