Incredible value for an elite lens
2 of 4 found this helpful This is a very sharp and fast lens. It's a pleasure to work with such a nice crisp piece of glass. The quality for this lens is a great deal over the Nikon equivalent, which is twice the price.
Two things
1. It's very very heavy. Could even hurt your back in you're lugging it around all day.
2. Although it's a perfect zoom lens, at 70mm you're still going to need another lens (preferably mounted to another camera because swapping this beast is quite a proposal) if you're too close to your subject or shooting indoors in a confined space. This lens is replacing my 28-300 f3.5-5.6, but I do miss the range on the old lens.
