Great price and solid hardwear
The reason I didn't rate them 5 stars is due to the single action lock. I would have liked them to have been double action. That being said.... they are of good quality. Solid with fluid movement, yet sturdy and light. I like the colors to boot. I feel safe climbing with them because the unlocking motion is almost a complete turn. Easy to perform with the fingers but unlikely to happen accidentally. That being said, I have had a triact-lock (petzl) open while aloft when a branch hit it just the right way. As always, know your equipment and don't get complacent.

Amazing light, massive growth.
7 of 7 found this helpful I grow container citrus in Virginia. During the winter they come indoors to escape the cold. However, citrus don't like to live indoors and every year I struggle to keep them alive.
This year I decided to skip the 250w CFL clip lights and try an actual grow system. LED's are more expensive than HPS/ MH but the benefits are numerous.
I built a 3'x3'x7' frame and tacked reflective emergency blankets on the sides. The light hangs 6" from the top. My trees are all different heights so the light had to be high to keep from burning the tall ones.
My plants have only been under this light for 2 weeks and all of them are growing like crazy. Even trees that didn't do much outside have new growth everywhere. Even my 12" Eureka lemon is growing again. Many are blooming and the smell is intoxicating.
In conclusion, with this light, they are growing better than they did while outdoors. I run my light from 6am to 10pm everyday with a 15 minute break every 4 hours.
I only wish there was a light to exterminate spider mites.
