    Simply excellent.
Excellent flash, with great battery life and power. Portability and power are the key with this item, being not much bigger than a regular on camera strobe, it produces large amounts light. Accessories snap on with ease, and the bare bulb is fantastic. Couldn’t be happier, money well spent.

Best bang for buck Sony FE portrait lens
The images this lens captures are super crisp and sharp, rivalling that of the f1.4 GM, focusing is fast, accurate and silent, and at a fraction of the cost. The wide aperture of this lens creates great separation between your subject and background. The bokeh produced as a result is good, but tends to be more catseye than perfectly round, and does have sharp edges rather than a nice smooth blur. If considering this lens or the f1.4, I believe you would be hard pressed to justify the additional spend. This lens is almost on par with the 1.4 in almost every regard. The most notable drawback is the lack of weather-sealing. If you’re someone who does tend to shoot out in the rain a lot, you will probably destroy it. All in all, this lens is worth every dollar, and can save you a lot of your hard earned money if you need a great lens of this focal range.

    Simply phenomenal.
A lot of reviews around the web would have you believe that the size, weight and price tag of this lens are major issues not to be overlooked. I’m here to tell you that of the three, only one holds any weight. Prior to receiving this lens, I was worried that it would be too cumbersome to lug around any where, let alone use for any significant amount of time. My worries simply dissipated once I held this marvel in my hands, attached to the a7r3. With both hands on the body of the camera, it is significantly imbalanced, but who doesn’t support a zoom lens with their left hand automatically, whether it be to zoom in or adjust focus manually. I’ve found that in most circumstances, I don’t find it to feel terribly balanced. The weight actually has a benefit in that it allows you to better reduce micro jitters when filming. Adding a bit of heft is always beneficial. That benefit, coupled with OSS and the a7r iii’s ibis, and you can have remarkably stable footage for such a long zoom, hand held. The images taken with this lens are simply phenomenal, especially at full zoom, wide open. It’s sharp, with superb separation of subject and background. The out of focus elements are totally smooth, bokeh is absolutely perfect (subjective). The worst thing about this lens is it’s price tag. It’s significantly more expensive than equivalent lenses from other brands, and it could be argued that you’d be better served going for the 70-200 f4, and pocketing the hefty amount of cash left over. For many, this would be the way to go. However if you are obsessed with having the best lens and image quality, with price being an afterthought, then you will be most happy with this purchase. Definitely consider this lens if you have enough disposable income to afford it. You will be impressed by the performance and results. PS. Autofocus is fast AF for both photo and video.
