Don't buy an off-brand.

I bought an off-brand filter for my mower. It fit just fine, but the filter cover would not stay closed. I had to stop every minute or two and re-latch the cover. The other filter was, I suppose, not a flexible as the Honda filter. After one mow of the lawn, I order the Honda filter and haven't had a problem since.
