Suitable for purpose
These lamps are used a lot in new house builds - they are long necked and expensive to replace. The original versions did not seem to last very long. These are improved with a softer diffused light and so far appear to last longer.Read full review

Reading history, how folk used tallow candles.....then gas light, then the light bulb. Now things move so fast. When I had these fixtures installed, 9 years ago, it was low energy tubes. Now everything is LEDs!
