Excellent value for money CCTV system with clear images, great features and a free app.
For the price this is an excellent CCTV system with clear images which was easy to set up as it comes with full written instructions. The system automatically records when motion is detected but can also be set to record continuously or timed.
The multiple red LED lights around each camera lens are a good indication during darkness that the system is powered.
I connected the DVR to a TV with a HDMI lead (not supplied) to use as a monitor which is needed to complete the set up. The DVR menu is quite easy to navigate and there are lots of choices to change camera settings including how sensitive they are and I particularly liked the fact that multiple motion detection areas can be blocked out for each camera so as not to detect movement on the road and pavement or blowing trees/plants etc (the cameras motion detection picks up both movement and changes in light so will pick up headlight reflections etc.)
Email and other notifications are selected through the DVR menu.
Because it is a fully wired system, thought and planning is needed before installation to decide where everything is going to be placed and whether any extra length of camera wire is needed and what length ethernet cable you would have to buy to connect the DVR to the router (I needed 15 metres!) its worth checking that everything works OK before any wiring installation starts.
This DVR has a great 1TB of memory but when it is full it will not automatically record over so the disc needs to be formatted which clears the memory and is easily done under disc management on the menu but then the DVR needs to be shut down and restarted to reset.
When playing back recordings make sure that you select the required channel number on the search menu otherwise it plays the default channel (usually 1) and will display unselected channels as having No Data.
The mobile phone app is ok and it will show and record real-time images and playback previous recordings, but I have had problems when actually using the app because in the app I keep getting numerous duplicated notifications of the same detection and with eight cameras it's very annoying.

Good for price but not great.
Everything came as expected (2 cameras 2mp, DVR box, long cables for cameras and power plugs) the cameras are however not the best I've seen but also not the worst. If you're expecting it to run via WiFi then you'll be mistaken as you can only use 2 specific WiFi usb both of which are outdated ( this function is only for the app anyway) you can just connect via ethernet cable. The other downside I found is for placing your own harddrive there is not anyplace for you to fix it into place as the holes that are in the box are not spaced apart correctly so I've had to adapt it to do this. ok this is very good for the price .. dont get me wrong thsi is not no 4k system but does the job i need it to do with ease .. it took about 30 mins to set up and running .
took about 20 mins to set up the auto record and timing in the settings ..
the problem i did have was finding a program to use on my pc to view on my pc
its easy if you have an iphone . you just scan and log in .. simple but i have android phone and the app was not available for me .. anyway after searching the net i found AVSS-1.5.4 . and downloaded it for free . i found a video on you tube on how to set it up and boom works perfect
so now i have my ZOSI recording on the times i want it to after setting her up ( i installed the hard drive my self ) took 2 mins to install (show you how to do this in the user manual) and its cheaper to install 1 your self
and i have my pc recording full time .. last night it was on for 8hrs recording and it used 2.5gig .
so yes very happy with this and i mite even upgrade to the 1080p version :)

good if you just want to monitor whats going on
I wouldnt say its the best system but very good for the price. I really only needed something that i could set up in the office while i was working to watch the front of my property and know when couriers arrived to deliver packages. Setting up is really easy. It really is as simply as plug it in, add the camera and connect to the monitor. The slowest bit was fitting the camera where i needed it. The picture quality is excellent during the day and quite good at night.
However when it comes to recording motion and sensor its very complicated. The system seems to have a mind of its own sending me hundreds of notifications every day and yet missing important ones like a vehicle at my door. I have had to switch off notification on the app as its quite useless. The instructions for this part of the system are nearly non existent and I have had to guess my way around the system. After a month I still have no idea if its set up correctly and cant find information to guide me through the set up

I was a bit dubious about ordering something so cheap, but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The device it tiny in comparison to other CCTV units which is good.
Make sure you have a good quality 'Green' or 'Purple' Sata HDD to install inside for recording. Normal HDDs can be too noisy.
Video quality is excellent. I have connected up existing cameras to this box and the video from them looks infinitely better than it did on the old system.
The menu is easy to use and configuration was a breeze. - Download the mobile app from your favourite app store and access the system from anywhere in the world (You will need to open up some ports on your router to do this tho - this can be a bit technical)
As I have yet to install the 2 cameras that came with this item, I cannot comment on their video quality, but they look similar to the existing kit I have so should be great.
It would have been nice for it to have built in WIFI, or been compatible with a usb WIFI adapter that I had to hand - Sadly not, but connection to the broadband router via a legacy cable, was as easy as peas and networking was enabled instantly! - Who uses cables these days tho!
Overall, this is a good product for the price. Supporting 8 cameras in total, this is way more than I needed, but gives the opportunity for future expansion.

Good system for the price
Wasn’t expecting too much from this cctv system because it was quite cheap. However, I was pleasantly surprised.
The system was very well packaged, the leads are long enough to go round the house, and all the necessary cables etc are all included.
The only thing I had to add was a hard drive for constant recording, this was easy enough as all the connections are inside the hdr.
The cameras themselves produce a good clear picture, night time is still clear but not as sharp as daytime.
The software is easy to use, I haven’t used the app yet. My only criticism would be that I’ve narrowed down the area that I want to be alerted of and it still gets triggered a lot, and when I play it back, I can’t see anything that’s happened so maybe they’re just too sensitive. However, that’s better than not recording when you want it to!

For the money this is a great basic system and I am quite happy.
Picture quality is excellent, setting up the cameras in the right places makes a difference.
Easy to set up, plug and play.
Power consumption is about 9 watts in the day time and about 18 watts at night, for 4 cameras and DVR. (This is without hard drive or monitor)
EBay shop support was very helpful in changing my order.
Zosi website has great help and support/Troubleshooting pages. Useful if you set the resolution too high for your monitor. (Hint: you need a better monitor)
Overall, I would recommend this system to a friend on a budget.

Just the job.
I wasn't sure if this zosi cctv system would be any good. As it was a bargain price. But it turned out to be just what I needed. I would suggest to incorporate security lighting with it for better picture in the dark. It is easy to fit the hard drive in and setup.
