ZIRCON MultiScanner HD900/Stud Scan/Deep Scan/Metal Scan/AC Scan

Bought it to find studs. It finds studs. Nice tool. Did exactly what I wanted and needed.

Bought it, in particular, to mount some brackets in my garage. Teaching grandsons how to do it.

Worked the first time for each of two teenage grandsons.

Very well written instructions.

Easy to use.

Seems to be accurate.

Finds edge of stud, then center of stud, and then the other edge of stud. Seems consistent.

Even found a couple of AC wires. I wasn't looking for them, but it was nice to know they were there.

Frankly, I don't understand the negative reviews of some who weren't happy with its performance. I have nothing bad to say about it at all.

Bought an "open box" one for about 50% of the going rate for "new and unopened". Like new except for the packaging. And it even came with a battery already installed! Altogether, a great deal.

Lacks sufficient sensitivity

This Zircon tool was a disappointment. Lacks sufficient sensitivity to accurately locate studs through drywall. Does locate general area of stud. Then necessary to use 1/16" drill bit to locate exact edges of stud. Provides occasional false positives where no stud is located.Read full review

Zircon HD900 Stud Finder

Very nice stud finder, it was a little bigger than expected but fits in your hand perfectly.
The LCD screen is nice and bright, and the center stud arrow is next level, so far, it's pretty accurate, I've compared it to my old Zircon Stud sensor Pro SL Wall Stud Finder and they both are within mm of each other.Read full review

Can not trust it.

I can not trust it. I can scan the same area on the wall, one time it will find the 2x4 stud and the next time the same stud may show 12 inch wide. I wish I had not bought

Not sure it works right

Well I have now tried it on the job two times and it never seems to work right, My old one finds the stud everytime, but this new one seems confused. Will continue to try to figure it out.

Time had it's toll

Only used it a few times then it won't keep a battery after one 5 minute uses. No matter which brand of battery. Gives alot of false reads as well
