Yoshimura Abrasive Stain Magic Stainless Muffler Cleaner 120g Japan

It really does work!

4 years ago I purchased an all stainless exhaust system for my GS500. I don't ride the bike overly often or on long trips but it does get used year-round. Anyway, this year I finally decided to polish the exhaust and get rid of the blue/gold color on the pipes caused by the heat.

I did a google search to see what the best product would be for "stainless steel motorcycle exhaust" and Stain-Magic came up. I watched a you-tube video or two and was blown away... it looked so easy to use and appeared to be exactly what I was looking for.

The price almost drove me away... and I did look at other products/polishes but eventually decided what the heck, just buy the Yoshi paste and see what happens. I don't regret it one bit. This stuff is amazing. It was super easy to use and I felt like it did most of the work for me. The slight gold color on the pipes heading back towards the muffler came off with almost no effort and the baked on dark blue discoloration from right near the engine took a bit of elbow grease but also was removed. My pipes are looking like new again and I wanted to let others know about how good this stuff is IMO.

Reduces your stainless steel exhaust cleaning effort.

This product works on stainless steel motorcycle exhaust headers. I would not call it "magic", however, I will say my previous efforts were reduced by around 50%. The result is a new-like stainless steel finish. Expect, however, the moment your headers reach operating temperature, they will respond naturally and turn golden in colour. Stain-Magic works exactly as advertised !

As a life long motorhead, having tried all the products out there, and none work very well. This product works exactly as advertised and shown in Y-Tube videos. With average to little effort I polished 2 1978 BMW r100 34" canisters in less than one hour. They were seriously heat damage and ready for replacement. Though the price is at the high end ,stain magic gave me like new pipes, even took out the scuffing scratches left from rust, tar and heel mark removal. Been rebuilding these boxers since the mid '60 s , so you know what kind of nit picker I am. Expensive but does the job

I was a bit skeptical about this having read conflicting reviews before buying. I tried 3 techniques to clean up the downpipes on a Monster; Solvlo Autosol, T cut and Yoshimura. The first 2 worked to an extent but the Yoshimura worked really well. Using a mini rotary device to buff the pipes, they did look almost like new after. It's not quick and you don't have to use much, but it does work. On my Panigale and 996 it was much quicker as they weren't so far gone.
If you want your pipes to look newish again, I would say give the Yoshimura a try - though why it is so expensive I really don't know.Read full review

Good stainless polish for bike mufflers.

This works excellent for taking heat stains off of the stainless. It does tend to leave a residue to which you have to apply added elbow grease. But all in all a good product.
