Great grand piano sound for a low price
Although I own an acoustic piano, I bought this digital piano for late night playing with headphones, and other uses. This has the accurate sample of a top of the line Yamaha CFIII 9' grand piano. I don't have the space or the money for the real thing, but this digital piano faithfully reproduces the sound for a low price. The action is very good, most sounds are good to great, but the Wurlitzer EP sound is a little weak. The supplied pedal slides around the floor a lot, but they do sell better pedals that don't move around as much. If you buy the original stand, you can even buy 3 pedals that mount to the stand. I mounted the supplied pedal to a board to prevent sliding. Not a ton of features, but my main reason for wanting this is the grand piano sound and headphones jacks.Read full review

Yamaha P 115 digital paino
This instrument has a great sound, the action is comparable to the acoustic piano. There are a variety of functions, most of which I don't expect to use much but when I have sampled them they are really fun. The pipe organ and strings are the two I use most when not playing the grand. The option of practicing using headphones is a bonus I was not expecting. I also appreciate the small amount of space needed to accommodate this instrument. I could not be more pleased unless I had made the choice to purchase sooner.Read full review

Best money I've spent
I have been playing piano my entire life. I had a small keyboard as a child, then 12 years ago I bought a Yamaha DGX-505... I had it up until this year when the speaker busted. I could have replaced the speaker but decided to upgrade boards altogether. When I found this piano at a music shop, they wanted ALOT more than this bargain and for ALOT less (599.00 for the keyboard ONLY no stand, no bench, just the piano)
So when I found this bargain I was SO happy! It arrived quickly and in PERFECT condition. The sound quality is 10/10... the user friendly interface is 10/10, I have nothing but good things to say about this and I am SO happy I can make beautiful music with it. Anyone from beginner to intermediate, to life long pianist could benefit greatly. The weighted keys feel amazing and traditional and the sound is so very pure. I am absolutely in love with it.Read full review

Love this!
I have been a professional musician for over 40 years now and have played and owned quite a lot of keyboards in my time. I have been searching for a 88 key, lightweight piano to use on my occasional jazz gigs. I have found it! This is lightweight, sounds great and is very realistic. The action is a little too stiff for my playing style, but the longer I play it the more acclimated I get.
Highly recommend that you look at this if you need an acoustic piano that won't break your bank or your back!Read full review

Yamaha P-115
Love the piano, electric pianos, organ, and string patches. This is such a versatile keyboard. The built-in drum rhythms and metronome are very helpful when you don't have a drummer around. The action is adjustable to 3 different levels, easy, medium, and tough, which is a tougher than my acoustic piano, but it's really helping to build up my hand/finger muscles after not playing for many years. Bandmates love the sound. Great to be able to play with headphones or plug into a PA. Too bad you need an ipad to save any custom settings. That is my only gripe. Seeing that I only paid $479 for it, I shouldn't complain though. My 12 year old daughter loves it also. Very easy for her to use.Read full review

It met and passed my expectations. Very good piano. I highly recommend it.
I'm very impressed with the Yamaha p-115 piano. Very impressive sound and 88 weighted keys. Also the price is not at all a bad price. All the reviews and specifications I've read on this piano were positive. So if you are interested in an excellent keyboard that isn't too expensive, than I suggest that you consider this one.Read full review

Very nice keyboard
This new keyboard arrived in original packaging and looks brand new. I am very happy with the quality of the sound and the features. The feel of the weighted keys is great. I have another synthesizer and wanted better piano sounds and this does that. Good job!Read full review

Still too much to discover about it
I can't fully evaluate it yet. It can do so many tricks that I have yet to discover. I am enjoying the discovery. The basic grand piano mode has a lot of layers of sound to it, so if you just want a simple keyboard that sounds good, this is a great choice. The sustain pedal is lame. I'll be upgrading on that someday.Read full review

Great keyboard for a great price!
This keyboard has a very nice keybed, doesn't weigh a ton like other 88 key models, makes for a great digital keyboard you can play as a stand alone or you can turn off the speakers and use it as a controller for your DAW. It runs MIDI out from the usb-B cable. The speakers sounds good and if you're playing alone they should be loud enough but if you're playing with other musicians you'll most likely need external speakers. You can use headphones so no matter the hour or situation it's playable. You can even record yourself so you can play layered songs. It's well worth the money.Read full review

I'm in love
It took me a lot of reading and nail-biting to decide on this, I almost bought a Roland, but extremely happy with the the P-115 and I don't see myself ever needing another piano. Details, and compare with my former Casio PX-150:
- definitely a lighter/smoother/softer action than the PX-150, which was my main issue
- has the same sort of key-plus-function-button-driven functions that the PX-150 does (tuning, octave change, reverb setting, etc) so easy to convert to it.
- has two headphone jacks on the front (i.e keyboard side) as opposed to the back on the PX-150, which is nicer. Has the line out jacks on the back.
- the keyboard sounds on the P-115 are a little better than the PX-150 (don't know how the newer PX-160 would compare), especially the strings. More versatile accompaniment functions that the PX-150, and drum rhythms.
It's just a great keyboard and worth that extra couple hundred bucks by far, really easy to settle into, and inspires you to sit there and play.Read full review
