The 3.5 mm headphone jack and controls

The 3.5 mm headphone jack doesn't always make contact correctly and sometimes requires a slight twist to make proper contact for headphones to work. The sound is very good but the controls are small and sometimes hard to read. Ideally it would be great to have the volume, tone, and effect controls on the pick guard. I do really enjoy this instrument and find I am playing this guitar more than any of my other guitars because of its convenience and playability.Read full review

What’s the point

The guitar looked interesting so I figured I’d give it a shot. It’s well made and looks pretty cool but what niche does it fill? It’s far from silent on its own. With Bose headphones it sounds nice. The ear buds they give you are crap but older iPhone buds are better. I wound up returning it because I couldn’t quite figure out the purpose of having it.

Better Than Anticipated!

There was no store to go and try out the SLG before buying it, so I was not setting my hopes too high about this being a good purchase. But it turns out that I am very pleased with this instrument, beyond what I anticipated.
