Yaesu FT 8900R Radio Transceiver

I own three of them and LOVE THEM!

I bought a used 8900 for my truck and loved it so much I bought another for my shack. Then a bought a third to put in my wife's truck. She loves it. Yaesu (for me) is just so easy to use (Intuitive).

Solid and dependable. I love the cross band repeat and use it all the time. I turn it on in my truck and am able to use the crossband repeat with a HT in my office. Handy.

When I bought my first used 8900 the finals were blown. Sent it off to Yaesu and in less than two weeks they fixed it for about a $100. Fast!

I over paid

my fault. But the yaesu 8900 is nib & works nicely. The front end is quiet / night and day compared to the last anytone dual band mobile. Its shocking, considering I live in nyc, a heavy intermod zone. No complaints so far.Read full review
