It actually works!

When I purchased my 1978 BMW R80/7 I hadn’t realised that the previous owner had not converted the heads for unleaded fuel.
The result was that the exhaust valves were tightening up regularly and needed constant adjustment.
I looked for fuel additives and chose this based on other’s reviews online and also the fact that, in my moment of need (I commute daily with the bike), I could purchase a bottle locally to test it.
I adjusted the valve clearances and added the first ‘dose’ of the Wynn’s to the fuel.
Immediately it completely stopped the wear and since I started using the additive I have done thousands of miles, during which I believe I have checked the clearances (which had not decreased) but have had no need to adjust since.
When I fill up I add the liquid to the tank from the brilliant little squeezy-measurey thingy and it’s as easy as that! I always put in a tiny bit extra, just for luck..

I’ve never used any other additives so can’t make any comparisons, but I do know that this Wynn’s SubstiPlomb does what it is supposed to.
My multi-buy on eBay got me 3 bottles for about 20 quid so it’s fairly reasonable with just 1ml needed for every litre of unleaded fuel and a 250ml bottle lasts me about 10 tank-fulls of gas.Read full review
