Nice hard drive

Pros;
Very good transfer speed for an external drive with large capacity and is big enough to have everything in one place without have to carry a bunch of drives around. Has a nice outer case with lots of vent holes to help with convection Cooling.

Cons;
At current pricing for drives it looks to be on par but, I think it should be in the 150-175 range. The other thing is that the drive is new to me and for such a large capacity I'm not sure of long term reliability. Read full review

Not Worth It

Noisy thumping noise. Takes long time to "wake up" from sleep mode. Goes into sleep mode all the time. Transfer speed not as fast as other HDs.

Just in time

This backup drive arrived just in time to save me from getting a Cloud backup.
Super simple hardware hookup. Put the power supply in an AC socket, there is no power switch, put the USB 3 into the drive and a USB port in your computer/laptop. Preferably a USB 3 (for speed).

I purchased this external drive to use on my dual boot desktop. While it worked very well with Windoze 10, it did not want to work in MX Linux (as expected). Happily, I found a fix in the Ubuntu forums and Now it works equally well in each operating system. Great external back up at a great price

Received the drive and had it set up and my hard drive in my laptop backed up in less than two hours. and that’s a 500 go hdd in my laptop, and no iusb3 support. Only took 10 minutes to set up. And 8 minutes was unboxing and looking for an open outlet. Completely plug and play but does include software to schedule backups..

simple backup solution for desktop & laptop

I got this drive a great deal and suits my purpose for backing up my laptop from time to time. It is a bit heavy and I wouldn't recommend moving around a lot with it. So far it has been working great.
