Very pleased

I've only had this disk a short while so cannot comment on its reliability yet. It arrived quickly (ahead of time) and was quite easy to install in place of the existing Acer laptop disk which Windows 10 reported as failing after I checked due to programs not responding and a very slow 15 minute boot. A quick check online to get the instructions on how to proceed and just 4 screws to undo from the Acer laptop caddy and fix back the new disk and reinsert. Simples! Not wanting to spend too much in case the laptop was failing elsewhere I chose a disk with smaller capacity but faster interface & spin speed. Obviously I had to re-install Windows 10 from scratch and lost all Acer pre-installed programs which I never used anyway, & I had to re-install the third party programs I did use. excellent drive good storage solution

bought one of these which was an hp system pull but brand new , had different type of partition when it came but easily removed it with Linux partition tool , there are other similar tools out there from various vendors which would do exactly the same.

very quiet drive and fast too , once partitioned for ntfs it was easy to load windows,

these are excellent value for money if your on a budget and can make a huge difference to an old laptop, not quite the speed of an ssd though but good write speed and cache making it an excellent drive for the price and far faster than my original drive.

Quick and Quiet.

It installed easily in a MacBook Pro laptop. It's slimmer than the original 5400rpm HDD. It works quietly & quickly as expected for a 7200rpm HDD and has speeded up my laptop..Only had it about 10 days but like other WD hard drives I've had, it's working reliably so far, but expect it to remain so.Read full review

Best non SSD drive

This is fast, running at 7200rpm with a 32mb cache. In addition it is slim - 7mm rather than the 9mm of chunkier drives.
Noise is quite low too.
Of course, for sheer speed a SSD will always beat it but this is less than a third the price of an equivalent SSD.Read full review

Excellent Drive Works Very Well.

Bought this for my first ever pc build,i knew what i wanted it for; the space i would need and the price which i had budgeted for.This fit all my requirements.My only complain is i should have bought a bigger capacity drive.

I have also run various health checks on the drive,and it has come up good.
