They're Gone!

I live in slug heaven, they are everywhere, and over the past 15 years I have tried almost everything and anything to stop the pests eating my plants and veg. I have tried copper ribbons, beer hotels, salt, eggshells, picking them off by hand, orange peel, and many other so-called slug treatments. They just don't work here. Finally, I have had to resort to slug pellets, although I try to be as organic as I can. The trouble is, the chemical-laden pellets work sort-of, but you are then left with a load of jellied slug remains to look at, while the organic ones don't seem to work at all.
I saw "Slug Gone" on the Asda online grocery shopping site, which I use all the time as I am disabled and cannot get to the supermarket. It was quite expensive, but as it was one I hadn't tried before, I thought I would give it a go.
Well Hallelujah! I can honestly say that I have not even SEEN a slug near the areas where I put the Slug Gone down. My plants and veg are bushy and flourishing. From the small packet I first bought from Asda, I have now gone on to buy the above 2 x 3.5L, so that I can smother my garden and vegetable patch. Slug Gone Organic Wool Pellets

These really do work! I chose them as I have chickens that are pests to my veg patch on their own.
But they wont be hurt by these if they do get near my plot and eat them.
I was impressed how they swell up in the rain making a water retaining slug and snail proof barrier around the base of the plants.
They smell like a sheep pen so no good for plants you may bring in the house.
I am a convert now. Far better than spreading those blue chemical pellets all over the fruit and veg roots.

Protects delicate plants

These pellets work like the old fashioned egg shells making it difficult for slugs to crawl across. They do work well but you need to use quite a lot of pellets to create a a solid circle around each plant you want to protect so the contents of the bag don’t actually go very far. Read full review

Never used it before but it seems to work out around my runner beans and lupins which the slugs love but after a week no sign of attack will use against as we have hedgehogs and do not want to use traditional slug pellets in case we poison them Read full review

Great product but a bit pricy.

I think it's a great product but as with everything organic and natural it has a big price tag. I wanted something that was enviromentally friendly also child and pet safe too. It does the job of deturiing the slugs but soon runs out after using on a few plants. I can't realy justify spending any more so will have to look for a cheaper alternative.Read full review
