Congratulations...You've just found the answer to your flea problem!!
I used to use a product called Nuvan top and like all thing that really work, it suddenly became unavailable. I've tried various products over the years and none have come close. Until that is, a fellow dog walker with the same Dilemma mentioned Indorex defence spray and spoke so highly of it, I decided to give it a go. I found it here at by far the best price online. It came fast! and it's the best Ive used and probably on par with Nuvan ...I recommend it highly and from past experience, I would suggest that anyone with a flea problem purchase some now; While it's still available ... Hmm mixed feelings
I sprayed it all over the house. For the first day the flea situation died down a little. We found more hopping on us so we sprayed the house again and we are still finding them and being bitten.. Having this mixed with spot ons flea collers and none of it has really made too much of a difference to the situation. So not really sure what to make of it apart from making the house stink (because yes it does Have a smell!! ) thinking of switching to bombing the place. Lived in a rental a few years back, I didn't even own a cat but popped on the heating and was overwhelmed by fleas. Landlord supplied some cheap products that didn't work but I asked the local vet and Indorex has been my go to product ever since. It does the job, doesn't make me cough and the can is so easy to use, one in each hand and you can fumagate a house in half an hour. INDOREX kills the fleas and any eggs dormant in floor boards, skirting,rugs/curtains/electrical items etc.. if not the fleas are flipping good at hide and seek for a good 6 months.
25 years later, now the owner of cats and dogs; I still use Indorex and it still works and is safe on bedding and soft furnishings. Read full review

As I have several active pets both cats and dogs I use this regularly on their bedding and to spray once every couple of months over they carpets in the rooms the are allowed into. Simple to use, not ata all unpleasant and very effective
After suffering from two weeks of fresh daily cat flea bites to my feet, legs, arms and just about everywhere else, particularly at night, despite de-fleaing the cats regularly, I bought one of these and applied it to all the suspect areas in the house and in particular to our bed where the cats often sleep (....I know, but we love 'em!). Not a single fresh bite was suffered from that moment on. What a relief. I would recommend this product and will keep a supply in the house should there be another outbreak.
It is easy to apply, and is almost silent (normally aerosols make a noise which frightens the pussies), doesn't have a toxic smelling odour - in fact it has very little odour at all - and is clearly very effective. I can't imagine life without it!
I have been using this for 15 years - it works so well - my house is always free from fleas and every other insect including spiders and flies. It kills them all and does work for 12 months. After 11 months I start to see the odd flies or spider etc creeping in and dying inside the house somewhere - then I know it's time to order again! I spay everywhere room by room as you must be careful not to breathe it in and leave the room for an hour or so afterwards as it settles. The smell does go after a few hours, quicker if you can open the windows. I usually do a room or two a day - all round the edges, behind and under everything I can get to, round the window casings, then finally across the floors. I even sprayed our office at work as we had some kind of biting insect in the carpets and whatever they used didnt work. We all went out for an extra long lunch, came back and the problem was solved! & I even spray my shed & garage so I can rummage around without fear of crawly things lurking! I can't imagine life without it!
