Be careful before buying this

doesn't seem strong enough. My pool is STANDARD 48" height but the ladder is 2-1/2 inches above the railing with no further adjustment available. This is unacceptable Must rest on railing for support.

The ladder lock feature does not work. Had to buy a bike lock in order to lock the ladder.

Rust free!

So satisfied with our new vinyl ladder where as I don't have to worry about it rusting out and contaminating the pool. I'm sure it will give us plenty years of use. Also came in a timely manner which was a plus!Read full review

Ok but not that great.

Hard to find a good pool ladder this year. Not as solid as I would like but adequate. Good for kids and lighter adults, but at 250 lbs. I feel like I have to be very careful. Not near as good as my original ladder that you can no longer get. Read full review

Good sturdy ladder for the price.

The ladder is pretty sturdy and solid. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was due to the fact that the carriage bolts are not the correct size to fit the square holes. When putting ladder together the bolts spin and it's almost impossible to get them tight. Read full review

A nice upgrade for Intex pools

I've had an Intex Easy Set inflatable ring salt pool for the last few years and always hated the flimsy, quickly rusting ladder. Decided to finally give the VinylWorks Slide Lock A-Frame ladder a shot and I'm very pleased so far. Assembly took a little over an hour by myself, but I needed my wife's help getting it up and over the side of the pool. Overall it's much sturdier than the Intex ladder, but the handrails at the top are a bit wiggly/shaky. This ladder is meant to be bolted into the solid top ledge of a standard above ground pool, but it's plenty secure as a free standing ladder as long as the legs sit on level ground. The legs are independently adjustable though so you could probably compensate if need be. Time will tell how it holds up, but the fact that it's vinyl and not flimsy painted steel sitting in my salt pool bodes well. It's already worth the price to have a much less shaky ladder. Worth it...

Warning! You may be mad and convinced they jipped you 4 little bolts. THEY DID NOT! Look at step 13 again. If you're like me, you put four little bolts in the the side that goes into the pool that aren't supposed to be there. The two bolts go on that side to keep it from being lifted out while people are in the pool. Why would anybody do that? Trust me, kids think that stuff is funny until somebody gets hurt. You can bypass it if you're willing to get 4 bolts from the hardware store but I would not suggest that if anybody but you is getting in it. It's also much heavier than the ladders that come with intex above ground pools. You will need help to put yours in the pool unless you're a strong man and not short. It's a great ladder. My own son saw fit to demonstrate this by "ground pounding" one of the ladder steps. For those who don't know, it's a jump and stomp technique from Mario's Odyssey. Just to give you an idea about about the sturdiness of the ladder. It didn't wobble or break when he did that. He only weighs about 40lbs but still. It stayed put. I'm confident the kids won't hurt themselves being rough and my elderly family and neighbors won't be scared to go up and down it because of doesn't "wobble" like the intex pool ladders. My hips have to turn sideways to go through the intex pool ladder and with this one I can walk straight through. I weigh about 135lbs with 40in hips for reference. There's plenty room for me to "grow" if you know what I mean. I think for safety reasons, it's worth the money. It wasn't that hard to put together. I did mess up step 13 but customer service kindly redirected me back to it without getting upset that I was irritated about "not having enough bolts" so that's a plus too. They're there if you help. Extremely difficult to assemble

This ladder comes with multiple pieces, and the instructions are confusing. There is no way to tighten the nuts given the space they are in. I had to install the nuts facing the outside of the ladder because that was the only way I could tighten them. Once I finally got it assembled (about 5 hours total), it seems like a pretty sturdy ladder and the price made it a good value.Read full review

Very sturdy, hard to put together

This is a good ladder, and good value however-be prepared to spend time putting together, then taking apart-directions are not easy to follow even for skilled DIY-rs.
