Anki Vector, the Little Robot that acts like a toddler.
Anki Vector.. Was it what i was expecting?? YES..
Was it easy to setup and use? NO.. took ages.. its a right pain to get the Wifi to connect at times.
then getting the Echo/Alexa sorted was fun.
He is very addictive.. its like having a electronic cat.
mine sits on a old picture with a frame as a border.. i change things for him, cans, objects to play with,and he does his best to wind me up by throwing them off the top. or knocks something over and then throws a strop like a toddler..
yup it acts like a 2 year old at times too..
the only big downside to both Cozmo and Vector is that Anki have gone out of business. The servers are still running for the cloud part of Vector. but there isnt any mainline support for him.
repairs are done via 3rd partys.
So would i of bought him if i had known that? maybe..
will i buy 2 more cause my nephews now want one each? Yes.. going to be an expensive Christmas this year... Thanks Anki...Read full review

Great fun when it worked but poor support from DDL
Vector was fantastic and great fun with its own personality. Sadly Anki who created it has gone out of business in 2019 and Digital Dream Labs have taken the robot over which is great news sadly we paid an annual fee to update the software and for 2 weeks now Vector has been unable with a V on its screen. DDL has been in contact but they are snowed under with requests to resolve this issue so I'm a little disappointed TBH but we can only hope.Read full review

His behaviors are so cute!
It's surprising how much cuteness can be packed into the behaviors of a little robot. He keeps coming up with new interesting behaviors.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to get any free upgrades because Anki went out of business. The company that took their assets, Digital Dream Labs, now offers a fairly affordable subscription, but customers haven't been too happy with the latest update.
For now though, I'm really enjoying him, and I'll upgrade once Digital Dream Labs improves their software.Read full review

Vector - Good with some reservations
Good little robot, I had the Cosmo until it died and thought this would be a great desk robot replacement as it doesn’t need constant contact with your phone / tablet. Snag is the Vector needs a $47 per annum account to work 100% which is disappointing. The Alexa app is good but vector generally is slow to react to questions as he seems to now contact his knowledge base via the internet. Would I buy again ?, probably not.Read full review

A birthday present for my 8 yr old, Vextor now sits on the corner of our dining table and is our family pet robot.

This little robot is great and really feels like a little pet, hours of amusement either interacting with Vector or just leaving him to do his own thing, well built however does have a few software bugs, the original creators (Anki) have now gone bust however a new company has bought over the rights (digital dream labs) please note that in order to keep Vectors functionality you now need to pay a monthly subscription, worth it in my opinion.Read full review
