Vax U86-e1-pe Energise Pet Cheap Upright Bagless Vacuum Cleaner

This is the second Vax vacuum I have bought from this retailer. I was so pleased with the first that I bought another almost the same. Having a house fairly densely populated with shed dog hair I like to have two vacuums, one for the heavily trafficked areas and one for where the dogs are not allowed, to avoid transferring dirt into the cleaner rooms with a heavily used dirty vac. The price I've paid for these two refurbished models makes that more affordable. My replaced vac just didn't seem to be picking up so well, though it was good in it's day. However, this one is much more modern, seeming to have more 'suck' and generally be more effective. Being reconditioned it does have a few scuff marks on the head which in no way affects the performance - I want to use it, not look at it. I came with new filters and was all very clean. It has a shield to clip over the beater brush for vaccing hard floors which I probably won't bother with and a turbo head to affix on the hose, handy for stairs or soft furnishings, though I haven't used it yet so can't say how good it is. Again, being reconditioned it came without a user guide but there is one available to download if you need it. This vac is slightly heavier than my first purchase, but both are quite lightweight. It also came with a shorter cable than the first which is a bit inconvenient. The only assembly needed is to slot the handle together and secure with one screw which was missing but I managed to find a suitable one kicking about. These were the only downsides. The price and next day free delivery make it an extremely good value product that suits my needs very well.Read full review

Vax pet upright hoover review

Good Hoover but if you have different length carpet pile there is the need to constantly adjust the height of the brush .

Great hover has a very strong suction which you can reduced by opening the vent and has a very long electric cord I can hover my whole flat with out having to unplug it. Easy to empty. The hose on it also is very stretchy and long as well. A fantastic buy.Read full review

Bought one of these for a ridiculously low price. Once the missing handle had been sent out, we tested it on our front room carpet. Within minutes, the thick coating of cat fur and stray fag ash that had been interwoven into the pile for years had disappeared. Easy to operate, easy to empty. Just two criticisms:- the hose has a tendency to detach itself from its socket whilst in use and the mains cable is rather thin. Apart from that it's almost perfect. If it wasn't so cheap it would be rubbish

It works very well indeed but the poor build quality and materials used reflects the price. The mains cable has been changed several times already and the sole-plate is very thin plastic so has a tendency to crack/break if you're not careful. Lovely little hoover

Good hoover good suction and pick up easy to use and lite. I did have to unblock the hose as it wasn't doing what it was suppose to do and found someone else's dirt blocking the hose.
