Robust and ready to rumble, but not too loudly!
Straight out of the box it was easy to put together, just don't force any connections, wait for an audible click when connecting the tubes and brush head. You'll need strong wrist action as the motor housed in the head is weighty, but not too weighty, typical of a robust & well made product really. Looks like a Dyson, but doesn't sound like one.
Positives: Emptying is good, just ensure you put the dust container well over and into your waste bin receptacle as the lid will fly open on release.
On carpeted stairs you'll need to activate the brush boost option which will zap the battery, but it doesn't take very long to recharge.....make a coffee or a brew or make the beds interim.
Not noisy either as other cordless vac are prone to be. Gives a good 45 mins worth of charge allowing me to vac two sets of stairs and a couple of medium sized rugs. The recharging point could be any of your three point sockets, but ensure your Vax rests in the upright standing position with the brush attachment at right angles to support it when not in use. There's a useful bracket clip to affix to the wall if required.
Negatives: In this Vax Blade 2 version hair is captured around the bristle head & should be removed after each use as it can build up and stop the bristle brush from revolving, not much different to my corded Dyson so no change there.
There's no light on the brush head on this model, but I don't really think this is a deal breaker.Read full review

Good suction easy to empty.......
Initially, Instruction weren't all that clear had to ring Vax to be explained,......the Head Brushbar is a HELL OF A JOB to refit...it should be so simple but to get the 'locking' end to sit in its slot is more by luck than judgement!!!!!! If there's an easy way I'd like to know?!Read full review

This is my first cordless vacuum cleaner so can’t compare to others but I love it. So easy to just grab and use and very lightweight and flexible to do tight corners etc. Cleans way better than my plug in drag around cleaner. Battery insufficient to do the whole (5 bedroom) house in one charge when using full power and brush modes hence the loss of one star. But I can manage around that.Read full review

Great cordless vac
I use this mainly as hand held with the attachments & it does a great job. It is quick and easy to change around and easy to empty. I usually only use brush head on hard floors, which are smaller areas, I use a bigger corded vacuum for the larger and carpeted rooms as the brush head on this is quite small and it also tends to fill up quite fast on carpeted areas so have to empty quite often. But as a cordless it does everything I want & does it well.Read full review

WOW A WONDERFUL MACHINE VAX PRO CORDLESS
Oh wow we should of bought this VAX PRO CORDLESS machine when it first came out, it's power is better than my heavy and cumbersome DYSON BALL and that can clean very very well, but this VAX PRO is so powerful it leaves posh grooves in the carpet where it has just cleaned.
It is so easy to empty you just have to remember to cover with your hand the part that goes into the upright pipe because if the flap is not quite down enough it can drop a little of the contents of the VAX bin.
I am disabled and in a wheelchair and yet this is the ONLY vacuum that I can use from my wheelchair and do a great clean, my daughter loves cleaning her bedroom now and she will do all the upstairs and take the long tube off and put the foot back on to the hand part of the machine and hoover the stairs for me on her way downstairs, then empty the pod and hoover downstairs and empty it again and put it back on charge ready for when we need it again.
It has made us all a happier family cos we all want to do the hoovering all I want now is for them to invent a way to do the ironing so well.
We love VAX so much we are looking into buying a VAX CARPET CLEANER, so we are a changed family because of VAX PRO.

All in all a 5 star product. Why pay treble this for a Dyson?
Great product at a really good price as Vax had brought out a new model and was selling off the old one which was a five star one anyway at a huge discount. Would have been happy at the original price.
The power is more than adequate on the standard setting which will last for 40 minutes without charge so rarely have to use the boost setting. I intended to use it as a complimentary machine to the corded vacuum but this is so good that may just become obsolete even though it was an expensive Seebo model.Read full review

An absolute god send. So easy to use and quick at hand that I've rarely used my old corded hoover. Battery live fully sufficient for my two bedroomed upstairs downstairs house. Its OK for me to use but the weight is on the top near were you have to hold the handle I think the pipe shud allow for tall people as was thinking of getting one for my daughter but she's 6ft and think wud have to bend alot. I used 4 times in one day and I was pleased with the amount of stuff it pick up as my previous one didn't have the suction. I also managed to get the brush out with turn of a coin to get all my hair off. I'm only using 3 times week now and the dust compartment is hardly filling up so obviously it's doing the job.
