I love the hoover, however it's not as powerful on carpet. It could do with more suction on carpet but it still does the job. Very easy to empty, just remember to clean the filter as well from time to time or it would affect the suction. I actually thought it was broken the other day as it didn't have bearly any suction, it's only when I realised there was a filter under the handle. The hose is difficult to insert into machine, it has to be squeezed, it has flanges. On lifting the body comes away from the base. The motor is very noisy. The power cord is a little on the short side, on the plus side the suction is good. My previous vacuum was also a vax bagless cylinder which I had for 14 years and was brilliant, this replacement is a cheap imitation.Read full review

Strong suction, not as noisy as I thought it would be. It's lightweight, and good at what it's designed for- pet hair removal with the special tool head. The generic carpet tool head can stick a bit on old carpet, but worth the effort. Dust container takes a lot before you need to empty it.
