Good for the money

Not the most feature packed DMM you can get, but for the price, and considering I'm a novice at electronics, it's perfect. The only gripe I have with it is that the instructions (which, incredibly, are in easy to understand English) make reference to being able to use the meter to measure capacitance, but I cannot find the section of the dial that it is apparently referring to. Over the years I have used 'Fluke meters' and other brands. This one has all the same features as the more expensive models but at a fraction of the price. Can't fault it.

A good bargain if you need a multimetre

So far, so good... I've given 4 stars simply because I have only had this item a few days - so far, everything works fine and it seems reasonably well build. For the price, this is as good as it gets, so I have no complaint with the item at all. Its obviously not high end, but it does the job admirably well and, so long as you do not expect it to survive being bashed around a lot, it won't disapoint you.

The item is housed in a plastic case, and this is further protected by a shock protection coat - as its a plastic item, I'm not sure how much protection this offers, but its nice addition in this price range.

The item works well, gives a clear reading - it features a hold button, which is useful as resistance readings do bounce around a little before settling down. It also features a backlight, which is a great addition and unexpected at this price.

I have bought a cheap multimetre in the past and it failed almost immediately - I have much higher hopes for this one! It seems to be a good value buy - so long as you intend lite use for the item, it seems to be well up to the task. Read full review

Unbeatable value

All the measurement functions work to a fair degree of accuracy.
The unit is well built and robust.

As a basic multi-meter this items is good value for money. The only and very minor observations I can make is that 2 AAA batteries would be a more economic fitment than the PP3 used. I also noticed that the lead's plug and sockets appear to be smaller than most other multi meters. This may be a problem if new leads are ever needed.Read full review

Good for the DIYer

Good item for home use. Not sure it would stand up to the rigours of site work or for the professional. Only complaint is the continuity 'buzzer' is practically inaudible and have to turn off all background noise to have any chance of hearing it. Hence the 4 stars.
