US PRO 1/2 Dr Power Breaker Bar 30" 2094

Very long breaker bar.

This is a big long bar, and as such is quite heavy, so it is going to be very useful when you need to apply a big torque but likely to only be used when a high torque is required, very unlikely to be used as a day to day tool. Not used yet but looks like it will do the job very well. I am going to give it a test over the weekend with a big bolt and see if it is up to the specification of 512 Nm in simple terms this equates to 51kg at 1m and the bar is best part of 3/4m long so in simple terms should be able to take all the pull or push I can apply to it if it lives up to the specification.Read full review

Poorly made and flexes too much

The bar is far too small in diameter considering the length (the same diameter as my regular 10" socket-set bar) and flexes way too much even under moderate loading. As a result it behaves like a spring and does not transmit the force into the socket or bit fitted. In addition, the head is poorly machined - the parts are a very loose, sloppy fit. In addition the squared socket part is considerably under-sized. Sockets are a loose fit and the ball retainer is poor. I bought this to remove the M18 spline bolts that hold my Skoda rear hubs. The bar just flexed and would not loosen the bolts at all. I had to buy another brand - a shorter 24" bar but much thicker and better machined (and cheaper). This had no problem at all in completing the job. In all, a waste of time and money.Read full review

Plenty of power.

Great when you need to crack big threadlocked bolts on suspension arms, bushes brake carriers and driveshafts etc. Spring on ball bearing retainer is a bit on the weak side and larger sockets do tend to fall off but it does what its intended for.Read full review

Okay for the price

Sockets connect on a little loose side. more than I like, but the bearing keeps it in place and doesn’t fall off. Maybe it’s just mine, I’m gonna have to replace the drive itself, in future. It’ll do for now Read full review
