I really like this product, do not let the picture fool you, although it looks very pours, in fact it is very smooth inside. That way items that you are grinding down will not be hard to remove. The mortar is a nice weight to it and makes for easy grinding of food ingredients. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends, and a great gift for your person who makes salsas.
