No use on carpet

I purchased this hoping it would make my vacuum as efficient on carpet as it is on hard flooring. No such luck, the bristles are too short to really make a difference. It will pick up crumbs etc but useless on any kind of hair or fluff. I don't have pets so I'm not exactly pushing it past its limits.
