So Much Easier than a Corded Backups
Love the Tumi wireless pack for my Z Force. Works well. Gives me about 50% charge from 10% remaining battery. Powering and charging at the same time on the fly. The charge off the battery Mod is better than the quick charge. It lasts longer. Takes longer to get to 50% but you're on the go during charging so I like it better. Mine had some scratches on it but I don't care about that much. Works great.Read full review

Save your money, buy Incipio
The Tumi power pack is designed for brand conscious folks, I guess. It is made by Incipio and significantly more expensive than the equivalent Incipio product. The Tumi finish (a pseudo-metal, brushed surface) is slippery and really doesn't look all that cool, yet it costs a premium over the OEM product.
Note: this product is NOT CAPABLE of wireless charging. There are two versions, this is battery only. Given the proliferation of wireless charging stations in airports, any traveler is well advised to spend the extra few bucks for the wireless version.Read full review

Defective unit, but still battery too small
I wanted to be able to wireless charge my z2 force and use the USB C port for headphones, but the unit I received wouldn't see the wireless charger (other phone sees it). Even though I could charge it with a wire, it doesn't have as much capacity as the Motorola turbo power pack mod. The return/refund process was easy and quick, though. After looking at other wireless charging devices, I found that the wire is still the best way to go, for speed and efficiency!Read full review

Dance 10, looks 3.
The Tumi Wireless Charging Power Pack Case MotoMod is not really a case, per se, but a device back plate that uses the MotoMod attachment mechanism. It's a MotoMod, so it works on *any* MotoMod-compatible Z phone. I'm using it on a Moto Z2 Play and it works fine. It adds two features: a 2200 mAH battery, and wireless charging, in what should be a stylish, Tumi-branded device that road warrior professionals can appreciate.
The battery backup is great. On my Z2Play, the external battery is enough to power a full day's road-warrior work, without depleting the main phone battery at all. Since the Z2 Play has its own 3000 mAh battery, this sets me up for nearly two days of heavy use without charging.
The wireless charging also works well. I've used it on a no-name charger received as a giveaway at a trade show, as well as on wireless pads at numerous airports. No weirdness, it just charges. You can also separate the pack from the phone and charge it wirelessly, by itself.
A note about charging: when attached to the phone, whether charging wirelessly or using the phone's charge port, the phone battery always charges first. Only when the phone is 100% charged, will the external MotoMod battery charge.
So why, at the outset, did I write, "should be" stylish? Because the cool Tumi finish is slippery and makes the phone difficult to hold, especially with the added thickness. Also, the brushed, simulated metal finish is easily scratched and gouged. Since this listing is for refurbished items, count on receiving a unit with cosmetic issues. Incipio makes this product, so the premium you pay is for the Tumi name and style... which doesn't really work out. If I had it to do again, I'd buy the Incipio-branded version.Read full review

Definitely would purchase this again
Great Product, I like the different Power modes.
same size and weight as the "Shell" only Mod.
set mine to "not charging" and the Power Pack stays at 100% for about a week if not used.
it charges the Phone slowly, so don't let the Phone get to low before switching it on.
It also still works with my Magnetic Holder in the VehicleRead full review

Great Mod, super capacity
When combined with the internal battery, I get more than a day's usage between charges. Just set you phone on the wireless pad/stand and it is ready in just a short while. I have not measured the time, but I know my total capacity can be down to 20% on the phone and the mod at 0, and it is charged by the next morning to 100% for both.Read full review

Awesome Moto Mod
After recently buying a Motorola Moto Z phone, of course I wanted all the techy add-ons for it. I purchase this battery pack first because I had wireless chargers from my Samsung that I still wanted to use. So, not only does this let me wireless charge both this battery pack and my phones internal battery at the same time, it gives me all toll, over 75hrs of battery life. Awesome!!
I've had Apple, Samsung and LG phones, but hands down, this new Motorola Moto Z is my favorite so far.....Hello Moto!!Read full review

Great addition to a Moto Z Force Phone,,,you almost never run out of battery.
This is a good addition to my Moto Z Force phone (works with regular Z Force or Droid). It doesn't weigh much, it protects the back of the phone, and it remarkably increases battery life.
It has its own battery built in. I have the phone set so that the unit's battery kicks in when the main phone battery drops below 80%. This results in my phone simply sitting at 80% charge all day long, which is really cool. It just never goes below 80%. When I plug my phone in to charge at night, the phone charges the main battery first, then the phone automatically switches over to charge the power pack. Both batteries show up in the battery settings automagically. This is truly excellent.
The power pack is held to the back of the phone by strong magnets, and the phone automatically recognizes the power pack unit and appropriately sets itself up whenever the pack is attached. There are several settings in the phone to fine-tune the pack's operation.
Also, because my phone has the shatterproof screen on the front and this tough little unit on the back, I feel it is so well-protected that I'm going to forego the cost and bulk of a separate protective case for it. The pack does increase the weight of the unit, but it's not much bulkier than the regular, non-functional cover that comes with the phone. I'll let you know how this turns out.
One caveat: I am currently having a problem with the phone not "wanting" to charge while on my Samsung wireless charger, but after reviewing the blogs I believe this to be a phone/charger issue, rather than an issue with the power pack unit. While that's annoying about the phone, I give this power pack five stars and I recommend it to all Moto Z Force owners. It's a great addition to the phone, and one I would not do without.Read full review

Doesn't wirelss charge
The extra life and battery pack are great. I go a full day without ever dropping below 80% regardless of my usage pattern. Unfortunately the wireless charging doesn't work for me. I put it on a charger and it connects and disconnects constantly, very annoying but this was still cheaper than the dedicated battery pack only. Read full review

It works as advertised
It charges my phone. I can also change the setting to keep my phone from going below 80%, and it will last longer.
The wireless charging works well. This unit does not have a USB port, so charge it with your phone or on a wireless charging pad.Read full review
