Tubby Bath Resurfacing and Quick Dry Durable Finish White Repair Kit

Vwry good end result but kit contents could be better.

I am very pleased with the finish achieved with this kit. My only criticism is that the bags for the taps are too thin and the masking tape is not good enough quality. The masking tape did not stick to the taps, plughole or tiles around the bath and one of the bags leaked water. I ended up using gaffa tape on both instead. My one key bit of advice is to apply the enamel during daylight as i did it at night and it looked good but the daylight revealed some small inperfections that i didn't notice. There was some excess paint hidden under one of the tap bags so if i were to do this again i would just use gaffa tape directly onto the tap opening to maintain access underneath it. The end result is a very bright and hard enamel coating and i would definately recommend this product.Read full review

Cast iron bath enamel

This stuff really is excellent. We gave just used it to restore our old cast iron bath and it's come up lovely. Even though we couldn't get all of the previous enamel off (we aren't sure what the previous owners used on it!) it's still done an amazing job! I had a very comfy 1970s turquoise bath.Iwas quoted £500 for a "professional" reglaze of the bath at home so I thought id have a go with tubby first.I did sand it thoroughly and clean and dry.Its thick paint so I used a good brush as I didn't think the roller supplied would work.To cut a long story short I am truly amazed with the finish and Ihope it is durable.It does smell so open the windows.I only used a covid mask but a better mask is a must.Read full review

Tubby bath restoration kit.

The Tuby bath restoration kit includes everything you need to prepare and complete the job.
Clear instructions, and a good demonstration can be seen on youtube.
Preparation is key. Take time to sand and rinse the bath, cover the taps and plughole, so that painting is the only thing left to do.
Paint starts to go tacky on the bath pretty quickly, so don't hang about.

I use this to convert my olive bathtub to White and it really did the job..i would say the Key to a good adhesion and appearance you need to prep it correctly .you really need to remove the old shiny surface.be very careful of the temperature for the second layer it can dry out quickly depends on the room temperature once tacky don't over spread it as it will leave a orange peel effect. one month on still looking good..Read full review
