I Detect a Truly Great Mystery

it had been a decade since i first saw True Detective, so when i saw the listing price for the first season, i HAD to get it! we enjoy 2-hour movies with a snappy script with interesting plot and engaging characters, but when you get a SOLID season, hour-long episodes, building up to a TRULY incredible conclusion? it's perfect.

i'm not the biggest fan of either McConaughey or Harrelson, but they really knock it out of the park. rare form - NOT TO MISS.Read full review

This is the real thing!

This is absolutely the best one season mini series I have ever watched. The acting is top notch and the story is great! It takes you right along for a ride as 2 detectives try to solve a case that eventual concludes over 10 years later. It is immensely intense and down right creepy at times, just full of suspense. It's like watching an 8 hour movie that's hard to take your eyes off of. I actually watched it twice to make sure I didn't miss anything and it was great the 2nd time. If you like suspenseful thrillers that are very intense then this is the mini series for you. It starts slow as it should and continues to build and build until the end where it gets wild. True detective is much like the movie Seven. It’s absolutely amazing. It will keep you on your toes till the end. And while the second season didn’t add up to the first, no need to worry.
