A god send

Where has this been all my life?,as a joiner / kitchen fitter of 30 years this tool is an absolute god send ,after years of cutting spacers this comes along so simple to use and use one handed ,could not rate it high enough,just get one.Read full review

Okay but needs tweaking and expensive considering

The metal point on mine would not stay out if you adjusted it, it slid back as soon as it touched anything. I had to put some sellotape on the backside of it so that it had a more interference fit and wouldn't slide back in so easily.

The lead holder is also pretty fiddly to use and the thread is plastic rather than metal so very easy to cross thread and fudge threads.

That said once the metal point stayed fixed it was easy to use and did a good job.

Good tool but could be improved. Should have flip round guide with a point for detailed scribing. Is expensive also but a must have for any proper joiner.

Well made tool but not quite what I thought it was

It's well made but not what I thought it was. I needed a scribe to mark ply floor to fit the profile of a van and I ended up making my own cardboard profiles. But I expect it will come in handy..

Small Scribing Accuracy

Very accurate for those small size scribes (on flat faces) This is really a clever adaptation of a pair of compasses, but so much more designed for the job in hand.

Great piece of kit

I am used to using a pencil and compass but since getting the scribe it's gone in the bin, so easy to use

Nice idea. In reality it doesn't work all that great and the rellacement leads aren't cheap.
