Follow the easy to use instruction and you will see the moss turn black almost straight away then greener grass a few days after. Ferrous sulphate as a lawn moss killer and grass greener

This is the dry powder version and appears to work better than the "damp crystalline version"
It is very effective at moss control and I applied by watering can. It dissolves easily and works good I could see the moss had gone black the day after and the grass greened up in a few days too.
There is no recommended amount to be mixed with water its a recommended amount per square metre.
I recommend doing a test with water first to see how many watering cans you need then as in my case it was 3 I divided the amount by 3 and mixed in the watering can .Read full review

Pro-Kleen Iron Sulphate Lawn Moss Killer Tonic Fertaliser

I bough a small 2.5kg tub of Pro-Kleen Moss Killer (free postage) to treat a small lawn which had a thick blanket of moss. After a few hours of treatment you could see it work, the layer under the top of the grass turned black.

Pro-Kleen did the job and made short work of killing the moss. I just need to do the hard work and rack it out.

No clear instructions as I needed it to kill moss. Packet has a ratio but doesn't say if it's for killing moss or for promoting greener grass. I sprinkled the powder on the moss, without diluting, a couple of hours before rain. I timed it so the rain would diisolve the powder and it worked! The moss was black the next day and so I repeated the process on a larger area. Very happy with this. Much cheaper than store bought moss killer. Worked really well.

I used the higher strength mix (September) as there was quite a bit of moss in there, just a couple of days the grass looked so much better (poor moss is dying) fungi also seemed to like it as they popped up.
I would say you need to try to dissolve it before adding to the watering can. I would also advise a little caution as I had a crop of rusty stains appear around the sink.Read full review
