Not true about no computer (you need to download the user manual all 136 pages). Updates are easy and the screen is superb. I have only used the basic functions so far but the map and route bar are excellent.Read full review

Love this TomTom!

Super easy to set up and use. Its plug and go once its set up. Lovely size screen, not too small. No charge for updating maps, bought to replace Garmin which cost to update. Family members have now bought the same one. Great bit of kit and super handy . Everything you need is in the box. I like the fact the head unit is magnectic and easy to get on and off but also secure. Easy to navigate round the menu. You can connect your phone through this aswell. The Sat Nav I’ve Always Wanted

This ticks all the boxes for me, no need for messing about with computers, and no extra charge for updates. Lovely quality screen, great new layout, the screen is very touch sensitive, the ability to plan journeys on my phone and send them to the satnav is right up my street. Being able to hear text messages, and use Siri is another tick. All round exactly what I wanted, no more lost signal on my mobile and having to guess my way around. Traffic updates save time and fuel, allowing you to take alternative routes to avoid jams. I’m sure there’s more I’ll discover once I’ve used it a few times. Definitely worth paying extra for this model. You get what you pay for. I bought the TomTom Travel case too, it holds the unit on one side and the mount, cable and car charger on the other side. 👌10/10Read full review

The best Tom Tom Yet.

Yes I know it is expensive!!.
Once we can get past that barrier we can relax back into the real world of what this product will do for you.
Back in the day when I used to work all over UK I had a lot of A to Zs of every part of the country and I really relied on them.
Problem was in an area you did not know and especially in cities you had to constantly stop and plan the next bit.
When the first Tom Tom came out I paid a lot of money for it but within 6 months I had ditched all my A to Zs and never looked back. I did over 100k per year at that time and was not HGV.
I am now retired and my wife and I like to get around, we do about 2k some months.
This 6200 replaces a go 50, we only stay in UK.
Voice control, WI FI, Blue tooth for the wife. Speed cameras, mobile speed cameras, accident blackspots, average speed cameras all help to keep you safe. You can update new camera details at the click of a screen to the Tom Tom community and be thanked for it.
All easy to use, WiFi upgrades lots more.
Wish I had had this technology years ago. Worth every penny.Read full review

Complete Sat-Nav with good features included.

The larger 6” display with the 6200 gives you plenty of space for live traffic & other warnings of problems ahead. The map responds quickly to any changes that you might make to the suggested route & any quicker alternative routes while driving, are also shown on the display. Speed cameras are shown & my only criticism is that you’re stuck with their pre-installed warning sounds. WiFi map & speed camera updating is also really useful. Pretty good

Bought after being copped speeding (first time in near 60 years of driving!), though I knew the limit on that road. But I find Tom Tom shows a higher limit for that road even though it has been limited for more than a year - hence not 5 stars. The Traffic info is very useful and seems accurate. Not yet used the route finding in anger. A good buy if you find a discounted price. Be aware that "lifetime" means for however long Tom Tom chooses to support it which may not be as long as the device lasts physically. Read full review

Best sat nav units out there.

We've had TomToms for years, my husband uses them daily. He dropped his one and we bought a replacement and then managed to get the screen fixed so now I've got a 6" tomtom with traffic etc instead of my 4" Tomtom which is great. The quality is superb, it picks up the satellites properly and having traffic is amazing! I wouldn't use any thing else. Read full review

Since the updates on the operating system the Sat Nav is a nice bit of kit. The processor speed is good the wifi makes it possible to update on the drive. The quick release mount is very good for single handed operation.Read full review

Updating inconsistency

At times it is inconsistent due to it not picking up Wi Fi quickly resulting in displaying a message that something has gone wrong so having to keep trying to update items eventually ending up plugging it in. Also voice not accepting clear instructions.Read full review
