Timex Expedition - Great quality and accuracy at a very reasonable price

I have owned and worn Timex Expedition models for the last 30 years. Love them. Great dependable quality, long lasting, accurate, affordable and easy to set. The luminous indiglo feature is great for night viewing along with the on demand backlight. I prefer the analog models with the easy to read numbers that the expedition offers. It's a keeper!

Very high contrast makes this watch readable in any light. The Indiglo is the brightest I've seen on a watch and it keeps very good time. I also love the day/date windows for those of us who are often too busy and forget what day of the week it is? ;)

The only downside, and it's with most watches, is the band. Timex has improved their later models with a locking tang buckle so it doesn't come loose. In lieu of that, on older watches, I tend to switch the band out for a deployment clasp and this one excels with it.

This watch, with the Indiglo, is certainly better than a lot of more expensive watches with the Tritium flash. And it's 100m WR so that's a good thing. Don't settle for 50m WR as they often leak.

I'm happy with my purchase and wear the watch frequently. It's a keeper! :)Read full review

Nice but a bit wimpy

It is a nice watch and a decent price however the band is a bit too narrow to look like a man's watch. It should have a wider band on it. Thus it looks a bit wimpy..
