Easy to register, hard to setup

I had no problem registering TiVo Stream on their website--it was not registered already by a previous owner and left registered to them. Setup was a problem. The device wanted to update itself before I could use it through my iPad or Android phone. I just left it plugged in for a month and forgot about it and it magically updated itself during that time. Make sure seller deauthorizes first

In my case, the seller was a recycler and the devices were owned by a cable company who refused to deauthorize the boxes, so they could not be used by anyone else.

If you are thinking about buying one of these, get the TDN from the seller and call TiVO to check it can be transferred to you.

Great addition to TiVo Premiere

Now with ability to download to Android, and use TiVo app with Amazon Fire (so no need for a TiVo Mini), this is an even better addition to a TiVo Premiere setup. it's a learning thing...

I have a Tivo Romeo OTA. I was wanting to be able to watch the shows that I recorded on my Android tablet. I found the Tivo Stream did exactly that. The only problem was that Tivo didn't sell it any more and the only way I could get one was to buy it used. Thank goodness for eBay. Setting it up was easy as pie. My problem was that my Dell tablet would not stream the content properly. Apparently, according to Tivo, the Stream doesn't get along with the Intel Atom processor that Dell uses. However my wife's Amazon Fire tablet streamed it just fine. So I bought me one. One thing worth mentioning. When streaming content I had problems skipping through the commercials. It would cause the stream to skip for a bit until it could stabilize again. So I have learned that if you download the content to the tablet it works flawlessly. You need to be on top of TIVO to Activate.

SELLER provide case but took several calls to get it activated. I had a to go on a trip and expected it to be activated when I got back took 2 more call.

On first Call provide my details and because all my TIVO are on Lifetime subscription they needed a credit card but no charge was going to be made it was just to but it on the account so it would activate.

10 days later still not working did call and chat same time. worked over chat and was told would take some time again to activate. Stayed on the call till got a rep. this time they completed the activation and it showed up on my tivo account then only took a couple hours for it to activate.

I like the fact that when someone else is using the TV I can stream a pre recorded show or a live show if a turner is free.

I can download videos to the iPad but need to leave the app open while it D/L, nice thing is it ask what quality you want.

Was going to get a Tivo Mini now NOT NEEDED just get a HDMI adapter for the phone and use the Tivo APP to watch on second TV.Read full review

The device hooked up without problems, very simple installation. The app on my phone and TiVo online picked up the device without prompting. Streaming through the app, is easy problem free. When using the TiVo online with my Chromebook, the stream would stutter with the video trailing the audio. At times the stream would stop and the video would catch up to the audio. The best mobile streaming option for cord-cutters

This simple add-on to my older TiVo box (most newer Bolt boxes already have Streaming built-in - we use an older Roamio model) gave me mobile access to my DVR content both in and out of my home network. I underestimated how useful it can be to watch practically live tv or my video on the fly without the need for subscriptions. Even grabbing an iPad to watch tv while working in the kitchen or sitting on the patio is infectious. Our household cut cable out a month back but we still have first-class control over the many digital broadcast options freely out there. Difficult setup but a sweet feature once you do!

In a nutshell: I purchased the Stream device (used) to watch my TiVo recordings on my iPad while I’m cooking. It works great for its purpose.

I have a 2016 TiVo Roamio OTA. I changed the TiVo setting to permit other devices on my network to control the TiVo and plugged the TiVo Stream into an empty port on my router. After several failed attempts at setting it up via the app (it could not find a streaming device), I power cycled the TiVo & TiVo Stream (unplug all cords, wait a few minutes, then reconnect everything). After one more failed setup, I waited about 20 minutes, rebooted the app to setup and success!Read full review

Just register to your tivo acct and connect to the same network your tivo is on and that's it.
Sometimes the software is glitchy in iOS but just need to reconnect and it's fine.
