The Handy THET 30cm 800W Electric Tiller

Surprisingly good

Used this for 4 hours today on the clay soil at my allotment. I was very impressed with the quality work this tiny thing can do. Powered by my generator this tiller battled through the heavy soil like a warrior.
I know it’s cheap but the results will surprise you.
You will need to clear the tines of weeds from time to time and a stone may lodge itself at the top but can be cleared with a little effort.
If it hits a big stone it can jump about a bit as it’s not that heavy but once you get the nack of using it it will tear through soil and save the strain on your back from digging, no one likes digging!Read full review

A bit late in reporting as I’ve only just used it.
Excellent! Really fast and breaks the soil up with no problems at all. As it said in the instructions it does start with quite a kick but easily managed. It’s like having a bucking bronco on the end of the arms at first but again you quickly get used to it and I would think after a couple of passes it will steady itself.
The only downside I can think of is that I’m not getting the exercise that I used to. I’ll somehow have to live with that!🤪Read full review

Easy to use, save your back.

It works well. I get better results when pulling it towards me rather than letting it run forwards. It struggles a bit on hard unbroken soil. I love it, it saves a lot of backache.
