Great enigineering and mathg calculator. One of few that does fractions
This is a fantastic calculator. Does most common engineering calculation including transcendental functions, logs, powers, roots and more. I remember growing up, I had a heck of time understanding fractions and figuring out Least Common denominators, etc. I woke up early the morning of the test and my mother came to my rescue and taught me and I never looked back. Many people have problem with fractions and it is because it is not taught properly. Take heart if you are one of these challenged persons, this little calculator does fractions. "Good Scientific Calculator"
This is a great calculator. It doesn't need batteries. Even in low light conditions it still works.
If there is enough light to see the display, it still functions. The hard cover it has protects it very well. It is not very heavy + will fit easily in your shirt pocket. There is a demonstration instruction with sample entries to show you how to enter specific functions that fits inside the hard cover. It has 2 sides for more examples. It has 3 storage memories. This Texas Instruments calculator replaces my old TI-30 that finally conked out after many years. I am a Mechanical Engineer and need all the engineering functions provided by this calculator and it is also such a great value. Best Electronic Slide Rule Ever
I have used the TI-30 as my "Go to" calculator since 1977 when I first entered Electonics Engineering Technology school. The ease of operation, and functionality are great. This version does not have the "fraction entering" capability of the standard TI-30xa, However, I never have used that function in the last 38 years of working in the electronics industry - thus, I do not miss it. Overall, it is the best calculator I have found for everyday technical work. For more complex work, I utilize a computer and a spreadsheet.Read full review
