Simplicity itself
It's always a nervous or trying experience using a new product or machine for the first time. The sheer complexity of the item itself, the very detailed instructions can both be off puttting but in the case of the Tefal Actifry it was very straightforward and without doubt it delivers, it does exactly what it says on the tin!
Our first attempt at using the Actifry was to cook some chips! It worked beautifully, easy to use,very quiet in operation and above all, a great end result, beautifully cooked chips without the extra calories from using loads of oil, a major drawback with more conventional methods!
I cannot emphasise more that the Tefal Actifry actually is a delight to use and produces great tasting food without the stress and strain of loads of pots and pans as in conventional cooking methods. I can unreservedly recommend the Actifry as a major step forward in culinary design and practice.Read full review

Dissappointing
Having had a smaller version which was great this unit is poor by compariso. Thought it would be more convenient with the 2 in 1 function and larger capacity however it seems to take much longer to cook items in the bowl on their own and if using the top tray as well items in the bottom don't cook at all. Would recommend the smaller unit and buy a snacking tray to go with it.Read full review

Tefal Actifry
This has completely changed the way I cook, it really has revolutionised cooking for myself. Everything is so much easier & gets cooked using so little oil it makes everything that bit healthier.
I am so pleased with it that I am wondering why I did not do this a long time ago!

Prefer the 2:1 tefal model as it enables you to cook more food at the same time. The recipe book that it comes with could do with having more recipes but YouTube is very good at getting tips and ideas on foods to cook.Read full review

A little larger than expected but that said it can cook for four [ or more ] no problem. Am still experimenting and adapting cook book recipes, for instance with chips I find a little more oil and 2 minutes extra cooking produces them as we like them. Great Product
We purchased this mainly to cook chips without the use of a lot of fat. It cooks chips really well, much better than oven chips. We have recently used it to cook steaks as well and it did an excellent job. The steaks were cooked beautifully, although not quite as brown on the outside as we like but all I had to do was give them a quick flash in the frying pan to brown them off to perfection.
