Good product for Freeview and streaming services

This is a really good box for the price. The HD Freeview is excellent and the software is very quick. The user interface is reasonably easy to use and the remote control has good feel to it. My only issue is that the Amazon Video streaming app seems to have a problem actually showing the video. I can log into my account and see all available shows, films etc. But it gives an error when I try to stream the video. BBC iPlayer works fine so it's not an internet connection issue. I currently have the box wired into a wi-fi range extender, but I don't think that is the issue.
In terms of setup, it is very easy. The lack of built-in wi-fi may be problem for some, but not insurmountable (I use a wi-fi range extender with ethernet ports). I've not tried the recording capabilities as yet so can't comment. This is box for the bedroom so doesn't get frequently used. Other apps include Netflix and other streaming services.

Got this to replace the same item which had been damaged while redecorating. Was going to use it but in the meantime got a newer TV with smart features which makes the tv box redundant!

This box is purely a freeview box with no record facility and the tuner is freeviewHD.

Compact box that enables a lot of catchup programmes

Bought this to replace my old box which went faulty. I can receive a lot of catchup channnels with it. This one has not got the facility to record but i never used that. Its a bit slow to react to the remote but thats normal for these.Read full review

Excellent product

Although it seems to be designed for use with a talk-talk system, this item works really well even though I am only using it as a set-top box from an ordinary aerial with no internet. It takes a while to boot up but then it is excellent. Read full review
