Takes the guesswork out of jam and marmalade making

I ordered this after discovering my old jam thermometer was 20 degrees out. No wonder I had setting problems!
The Tala design clips to the side of the pan, has a liquid level mark and other marks for the setting temperature for jam and toffee.
My first batch of marmalade was spot on. :-)

Just the job

I have wanted to buy ome of these for ages as i some times deep fry small goujons etc and use a deep fry method in a pan but often am unsure of correct temp so this does the job nicely. I also like jam but cannot use shop bought products because of a pre-diabetic problem. I use Xylitol which is a natural sugar replacement and is made from a 1005 natural product....trees! so easy to read

so easy to read,had similar one before but I broke it,this feels more robust so should be ok plus, it has a hanging clip which is better.

Tested it in boiling water - spot on 100C. Since used it in more useful stuff ie chip fat oil. Chips lovely and crunchy - got to be the thermometer did it!
